A week after Wired College Camp I was able to lead my first ever batch of high school girls in SQUARE ONE :) Namely, Madon, Elijah, Fevin, Florence and Tam. They were all so quirky and fun, it reminded me of my old high school self. HAHAHA

DAY 1

We bonded right away after lunch and played Monoply deal, I finally won my first monopoly deal game. :0

We also tried out CCT’s Xbox and played bowling. :>

ahhh, my favorite solo picture of the day.

DAY 2

I did not play amazing race anymore so… I just spent half of the day in the playground with my co-leaders. TEEHEE

This skit by the Take 2 ministry made me cry. They showed what Jesus did for us. How He took our place and got beaten up in our sins by dying on the cross for us to be saved.

After the skit and the whole message, we continued on with the praise and worship. We used finger lights again.

After special night, I put my girls to “sleep” and spent time with mah friends, AGAIN. HAHA

DAY 3

Baptism day!

It was so fulfilling to see two of my girls being immersed in the pool declaring their new found faith in pudlic. :)

After the baptism ceremony we packed up our stuff and had a closing program plus of course, picture taking.

WHAT A SUMMER! April was jampacked! :>

I was able to go to WIRED SUMMER CAMP last april 14-16 and volunteered in the games/programs committee. It was a success! As always, by God’s grace. We had 400+ participants from different schools and provinces and most of them were first timers. :”>

 DAY 0: Early Party

We came a day earlier in the venue, CCT Tagaytay, to fix everything- stage, chairs, print materials and what not.

This is a picture of me wearing the Wired man (in this case woman)

DAY 1: “Orientation Day”, the most hectic day of the camp.

This is Rain, Riggy and I, doing our dance moves. HAHA (pampatanggal ng stress)

We had CHEF TONY’s popcorn care of Matt Angeles

We also had this twitter booth. For the campers to tweet anything related to wired! HAHAHA. I think #letsgetwired became a trend because of that. (DAW,DUNNO).

Another experiment done during the camp was to have workshops instead of having the amazing race. We thought, it’s better to have these workshops to let them learn new things and let them be themselves (Wired’s tagline “I am and I am Wired) I helped out in the dance workshop, of course, along with the Iron Saints. :) Though, it was only for a short while, (warm-up lang) because I had to attend to my other duties.

I like wearing basketball shorts during trainings, they’re one of the most comfortable bottoms for dance ever. HAHAHA

This was the “stage design” of the whole retreat. HAHAHA

My very beautiful d-group leader #sipsip

Rain’s “wired” white blackboard ink HAHA

My favorite solo picture of me that day :”>

DAY 2

Pastor Ricky Sarthou! Our message the whole retreat was about intimacy with God.

Psalm 27:4

New International Version (NIV)

One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.

MY twin brother. JOKE haha my boy version. In fareness, this was a stolen shot.

WORKSHOPS instead of having the amazing race. This one’s a picture of Trisha Cucio teaching in the taekwondo workshop.

My favorite session game ever, paint a picture! can you guess what game this is?

Cool shot, right?

This one too. rockstar ni David Whang ah :))

Seeing this makes me cry. The Lord indeed fulfills His purpose. :)

DAY 3

The group shot of all the campers. Can you find me in this photo? Clue: left side. :D

It was one of the best summer camps of my life. Despite all the mishaps and shortcomings on our side (the organizers) God still made a way for it to come together. Praise God!

I hope to see you in the next college camp. For the mean time, add WIRED in FACEBOOK and follow them on TWITTER for updates! :)

Okay, I promised that I’ll post my year-ender entry on the first week of January (okay, fine so technically, it’s the second week), so here it goes! (arranged in no particular order)

  1. This was the year that I took blogging to a different level. I challenged myself to post original entries, went to events and such so that I can share them to you. At first, I just reblogged everything I saw in my dashboard, but then I realized that I can do those things too! Though as a beginner, I do need to improve on alot of things: photography (I want a DSLR haha), more substance in my writing, regularly update my blogs (my other blog is TERPSICHOREANSCRIBBLER and it’s more on my “writings” HAHA), attend more events and have more giveaways! HAHA. (my wordpress blog has 293 subscribers! how cool is that? Thank You, Lord!)
  2. Had tons of opportunities to serve The Almighty Father in our church, CCF/ Jzone (youth). I’ve been really active in ministry lately! Maybe it’s because I find no better satisfaction than giving back to God what He gave me.
  3. FInally tried out something new. In this case TWO NEW THINGS! Frisbee and Jogging. :D
  4. Went hiking in Batad. After this trip, climbing up the stairs are no longer a challenge for me. HAHAHA.
  5. MORE FRIENDS! I’m not really the friendly type. I may seem like one due to my wacky character, but…HOHOHO. Let’s just say that I find it hard to make the first step in socializing. Thankfully, I finally came out of my shell and made more friends!
  6. Started venturing into fashion. Philippine Fashion Week and MEG’s fashion blogger’s night! (+ My Lookbook, Chictopia and Polyvore accounts! HAHA)
  7. Transferred to UP. ‘nuff said.
  8. D12 LOVIN!!! »:D«
  9. Dancing with…any crew/group is always an epic experience for me. This year, I focused on Iron Saints and trained with Gforce for awhile. :)
  10. Bloggers’ events!
  11.  Lastly, my last few memorable months in MC.

I HOPE 2012 WILL PRESENT MORE BLESSINGS AND OPPORTUNITIES. Thank you, Lord. :)

What I did last saturday:

1. Bonding with d12

I just love spending time with my d12! (For those who don’t know what a d12 is, it’s a small group that meets regularly to discuss passages in the bible, life stories and love*** HAHA) The original plan was to have a “mixed” dgroup so that we can also spend time with our guy friends, but only a few showed up.(khris ,JP and patrick came)  So…agenda: talk, eat, eat while talking, talk while eating and talk. We also welcomed Avery, our d12 leader, who just came back from her vacation in Canada!

Thank you for the pasalubongs!

*I wasn’t able to join them in their Karaoke session because I had to prepare and join…

2. Iron Saints’ D.E.M.O. class!

“D.E.M.O.” stands for Dance EvangelisM Operation (yes, a bacronym). It’s aim is to offer free dance classes to those who are passionate to learn different dance styles. It’s also encouraged that those who are eyeing to audition in our ministry, to have a crash course on how our choreos are like for them to know more or less on how our ususal training days are like. Finally, It’s a bridging event for these dancers to know the Lord.

Just like how we start our training ever tuesday, thursday and saturday, someone leads the devotion. You’ve got to be spiritually filled in serving God. :) This time it was lead by Gino, our ministry overseer. :)

First class was by Tikboy then a collab class from Nina and Camille! WOOOH!

This is me, showing off my famous annoying face. HAHA

Group picture!

Super Praise God lang talaga that alot of people came. They were able to dance for free, meet new dancers and learned more about God’s word all in one day!

Now what more can you ask for? JOIN OUR NEXT DEMO CLASS THIS FRIDAY! :)

If you have the heart to dance for The Lord, auditions are coming soon!

Go to our page HERE to know more about us and our events/performances. :)

*So, after going through an intense dance session with the saints I went to the Jzone tambayan to teach the dance for the One retreat reunion. Thank you to all the dancers/leaders who were more than willing to help! Thank you for doing your best, God was indeed glorified.

3. training for ONE retreat reunion and 4. ONE retreat reunion

*these are pictures from the reunion

Last saturday of my sembreak: I wouldn’t have spent it any other way. Tiring yes, but fulfilling.

God bless!

Every year Jzone conducts a sembreak retreat, this year it’s called “ONE” It is the first ever joint college retreat of Jzone. You see, college retreats were divided into three: Taft, Ubelt and Katipunan/General colleges district. This is because 1. there’s no venue big enough for 400 students  and 2. sembreak duration varies in each district. PRASIE BE TO GOD that we’ve found CCT that can fit 400+ participants! Though this time, DLSU/CSB/Taft schools really can’t be included because they’re still busy with school.(some tafters we’re able to come though, hhhmmmm)

photo by:Safelight (CCT is still undone but that didn’t stop us from having a great time!)

By God’s grace, I was able to lead my own group of amazing and beautiful girls in module 1! Namely: Raisa Tan, Leah Halili and Cyra Chan. :) Thank you for sharing, girls! May you continue grown in The Lord. :) I also served in the materials committee by assembling/organizing guides and kits for the participants and leaders. I also got to share my testimony. Even if I read it for the second time, it still made me cry. (I’m thinking of posting it here, actually. That others may be blessed. I’ll pray about it.)

Overall, It was…beyond amazing. Iba talaga kapag si God na yung nag-ooverride ng lahat. To think we only had limited (as in limited5-6 weeks?) to prepare, everything was still organized, we went overboard with the participants, special night was beyond words, all messages were successful and break-out groups were fruitful and productive. It was indeed fun and meaningful (Jzone’s famous tagline) and I believe that souls were saved and lives were changed.

Joshua 24:15 says: “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Let us continue praying for each other as we battle the struggles of life. :)

God bless!

Can I get a “WHADDUP?!” haha

<3

P.S. I still can’t get over! WOOOH!

P.P.S. Pictures from the retreat will be posted separately. I’ll try to be as organized as possible. :)
