I was able to style a friend of mine, Eunice Ong , for her pre-debut photoshoot. It was a random thing actually, but it was hella fun! :)

I prepared 4 looks for the shoot but we only got to shoot 3 looks because we got so exhausted. I never thought it would be that tiring. @-)  On the bright side, Eunice is a fashionista herself so it wasn’t hard to find clothes, accessories and shoes in her home.

The first look was girly/boho. I paired her floral maxi dress with a colored aztec print top (print on print) then “broke” the clashing prints by placing belt.

Next shot would be the biker/tough look. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE LOOK and I had fun looking at Eunice while she posed. She’s such a great model. Aside form the fact that she’s stunningly beautiful and we can shoot her from any angle, she knows how to project in front of a camera.

The third look would be the dancer look. Eunice, aside from being a model and a photographer, she dances for her school’s dance group and is taking dancehall classes in GC under her brother (Gino Ong). SIYA NA TALAGA! :D

Her debut was an intimate garden party in her backyard and all the guests had to wear white. She wore this simple and elegant nude dress. I preferred it if she wore something more bold like red or green but then I realized it wouldn’t matter since she’d look beautiful anyways. HAHA

In debut’s, my favorite part would have to be the 18 roses part, doon mo kasi malalaman mga “boylets” niya. HAHA! KIDDING. Well Joking aside, it’s because I always wait for the father-daughter dance. It always makes me teary-eyed.

This one is a photo of Eunice and Gino dancing. :) HOW ADORABLE. haha

A photo of me with my friends from CCF with the debutante.

A very sabaw photo with my newly-found-boy-friends. Rain and Riggy with Kathy (a very close friend of all time!)

FEELING FIERCE. PLEASE.

Me with Edd and Paul! HEY YA!

Lastly, an artsy photo of me and my tattoo. HAHAHA #pabida.

The debut and the shoot was a total blast! I hope you hire me soon! (shameless plug) hahaha!

CREDITS TO ZEUS MARTINEZ FOR THE AMAZING SHOTS! hire him too! :))

‘til the next post.

Like a boss party and fashion show, organized by BYB Media, was the first ever legit “blogger” event that I went to. I’m so thankful for BYB Media’s SAMANTHA BELTRAN (yes, all caps ) for being the most accommodating events person I’ve ever met. For events and media companies it’s essential to really establish a good first impression to your guests and clients, and because BYB media did so, I’d be happy to work with them again. Anyway, to add to all the good vibes, it happened during the first saturday of the year! BOOM! What a way to start the year. :>

It was held in LIQUID POOL AND LOUNGE (Manila Ocean Park Complex). The place reminded me of them bars we see on TV. hihi (very adult pool party ang dating, haha)

I loved this walkway. STRUT! haha.

VIP corner y’all.

I went with bloggers Matt Angeles and Vijay Navani. (epic, yet again) and we met three more bloggers.

(will post their blog’s links ASAP)

This was what I wore.

top forever21| skirt, stockings, shoes SM department store| animal print ring Butingtings| cross ring, studded bangle bubbles| black ring, cross necklace love DIVA| bag aldo| domino pendant by Ava Te

*rest of the items are given :) I’ve repeated the pieces a bazillion times but it looked extra “party-ish” altogether when I added the stockings. I’m not into wearing stockings at all, but then I think I’ll reconsider. :>

SO, the vent was not just a party but also a fashion show from brands such as:

Asian Vogue shop Ropa Atletica The Travelling Closet Vittoria Clothing

Here are some of the looks:

galaxy prints are so IN!

well lookie here, BESTFRIEND KATH ONG OH! <3

T’was a long fashion show, actually. I’ll do my best to post more photos of the clothes :) (check my blog again before the week ends.)

NOW FOR THE RANDOM PHOTOS! :)

Kudos to BYB for an awesome event! :) I’m really looking forward to more events from them!

OH, BTW. ISKOLARS and TO COLLEGE STUDENTS IN GENERAL!!! check out BYB’s special planner for you. :>

SAVED festival is a Christian concert featuring local and international Christian artists such as Gary Valenciano, Quest, Starfield, Citipointe Live, Parachute band and more.

I came with friends from CCF/Jzone, which mean it was another epic night. :D

HERE ARE PHOTOS OF THE ARTISTS (please forgive my several attempts for an artistic shot. haha)

I admire  people who chooses to dedicate their talent to the Lord instead of going mainstream.

They’ve been blessed and are now successful in bringing more souls to Christ. Indeed, alot were saved that night.

To those people who were able to experience what I did in Henry Lee Irwin Theatre on the night of November 16, 2011; you know what the title of this post means. To those who haven’t the faintest idea, well please allow me to explain to you that we were not Samcey Supsups (Philippine’s runner-up in the late pageant) for a night. WE WERE an audience to the late revolutionists of dance, ReQuest Dance Crew, in their “Crown Yourself” Concert here in Manila. Yes, they flew all the way from Auckland, New Zealand to share their greatness to us. (With the Help of Vimi Rivera of UP Street’s The Crew. I believe we owe alot to this man) They’ve taught classes to our country’s own group of talents which includes Sayawatha, LSDC Street, Groove Central’s dancers, UP Street and the like. On that epic night they performed alongside with Legit Status and The Crew.

I cannot even describe in words what happened that night, but let me (attempt) start with this: it was the best dance concert most of us has ever experienced. Not seen, experienced. Watching is just a term used to please the eye, experiencing is feeling , or even learning and living what is on stage

As we were all watching from the edge of our seats, we became extensions of their crowning glory. That’s how affective their movements were.

What I love most about them is that they are women who can dance from Jazz funk to dancehall and krump and still manage to move as one. Each hit, wave, pop and step are in sync. They are always in charcter. Their attention to detail and “small” steps can still be felt, and in a big way at that.

Almost every piece needed time to process and absorb as they were all affective and intense; and it was a touching moment for us when they concluded the event with their world’s piece. (We asked for an encore) They requested us to cheer them on while dancing because they were already exhausted from giving us our show. Some of us might have even been teary-eyed while doing this.

I personally believe that a true dancer does not seek to stand-out  on her own, but has the humility to control oneself  so as to let the group and the choreography alone to stand-out. Dance is truly phenomenal on it’s own, but teamed with passionate dancers, elements, blocking, character and stunning choreography makes it more of an art rather a form of entertainment. (and is more valuable that what our mainstream entertainment industry offers.)

I’ll stop now before this post ends up being a novel. It was truly a memorable night with the queens of dance as they crowned us royalties to pass on their legacy. For the future countries they’ll visit, watch out, You’re about to be crowned as these women Run your world.

ADD REQUEST IN FB HERE.

FOLLOW THEM IN TWITTER.

*ReQuest conducted classes, had a concert in Henry Lee Irwin Theater, appeared in ASAP and had their culminating event in Glorietta 5.

*now for the photos (all are from their FB page, posted by fans who took their photos, last few one are mine ) I just attended their concert and had a class with them :)

Parris is really one of the sexiest dancers out there.

Reimy! Hello there, you are my favorite!

“Part of the proceeds from this event will go to the GMA Kapuso Foundation ( http://www.kapusofoundation.com/) for its school building project, a small but significant step to improve the Filipino youth’s access to education.

The organizers behind BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (PART 2) are Ana Gonzales ( http://anagonzales.com), Melai Entuna ( http://styleandsoul.blogspot.com) and Aisa Ipac (  http://ipaxme.blogspot.com),  a team of blogger friends encouraging camaraderie and sense of “community” among Manila’s (and eventually, the country’s) fashion blogging community through events and productions like this.

This is a one-day-only event that you shouldn’t really miss! It will be in a bigger venue with twice more the number of participating bloggers to meet! This is the perfect shopping day this Christmas because the most affordable and most fashionable clothes, accessories and footwear will be up for grabs. See you!

Bloggers United is in partnership with:
Multiply Philippines  http://multiply.com/
GMA Kapuso Foundation ( http://www.kapusofoundation.com/)
Treston International College ( http://www.treston.edu.ph/)”
-from AVA TE’S BLOG :)
I AM VERY EXCITED TO GO TO THIS EVENT! I’ve already scheduled December 3 specifically for this event ever since I saw their posters! It will be one of the first few events that I’ll go to as a blogger (hopefully much more in the future!)
WHY DO I WANT TO GO?
  • It’s a great opportunity to meet other bloggers as well, newbies/oldies, and get to know them. ( We all know there’s more to them than what we see in their blogs :) )
  • It’s a shopping event! I’m not really the shopaholic type of girl because I’m really stingy (kuripot), but since events like this are usually worth the money, time and effort I am definitely risking my chachings. (and maybe even ask a little more moolah from momaahhh)
  • It’s an opportunity for fashion enthusiasts like me to see what each blogger’s style is (since they will be selling stuff from their closests) and learn from them. :)
Hopefully, I win AVE TE’S GIVEAWAY TICKET FOR THIS :)
go to her blog if you want entrance tickets!
WEEE! SEE YOU! :*
