WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME TO THIS EVENT? I’ve never been to a CANDY event before, hopefully this is my first. HAHA.

After the Candy event I will go to this event. (SANAAA) I used to go with my brother but then he’s busy with work now. :-<

I’ve been craving to do something fashion related this summer. I will join this contest and hopefully win! WRAAAAH @-) I need to schedule a shoot soon.

HOPE TO SEE YOU IN THESE EVENTS. :)

I admire bloggers and other style icons who style and wear thrifted clothes. It goes to show that style and fashion is not parallel to the brands of the clothes/bags/shoes you wear. It’s more connected to confidence, how you carry yourself and…aesthetics in terms of how everything in your outfits looks glued together in a fashyown manner.

I’ve always been a visitor to UKAYS and even if my allergies strike after 20 minutes or so, I do my best to find pieces that are worth it.

When you’re thrifting for clothes, you have to have an open mind. When I say this it means you don’t look for specific pieces like, “I want to look for a short black dress that’s *insert specific details here*” , because more often than not you won’t find the exact black dress you’ve imagined. If you do, CONGRATULATIONS. If not, do not fret. Instead of wasting time, looking for that exact piece, search for black dresses in general and think of how you can improve/alter it. Let it be your mini project in how to alter it. Be creative!

Like this dress. It’s original length was up to my ankles. The material was stretchy so I thought it would be a flattering day dress if I cut it short. So I had it cut short and the cloth left…well I had other plans for it. Watch out for that.

Also some UKAYS, despite being a secondhand store, overprice their items. :( I put into mind that an item  should be at least than 250 before I buy it. HAHAHA Like this one. I got for 250 and it’s brand new! :”>

You might be wondering where I’ll use this. Well, we have a dance performance in Jzone this coming feb 4. ( PLEASE DO COME! :) ) and the costume I’ve decided upon on for the dancers is winter themed: with colors gray, white and silver. I can’t say why. YOU HAFTA WATCH AND FIND OUT :) (more details on this event soon)

BTW, I can also use this after our performance, when we go somewhere cold. Like, Japan. HOPEFULLY. HAHAHAHA. chos.

Next buy was only for…50 pesos! :) It was originally a pair of cargo pants (i think) and I really like the color and the big pockets. I just had it altered for a skinnier fit.

Last buy wasn’t for me, but I really wanted this one for myself. For only 220 pesos I was able to buy this vest for Nica. Again, for our costume on our feb 4 performance. :”>

The hood and its fur detail was detachable. HOW AMAZING IS THAT? haha. She can use this on “normal” days by pairing it with a tank top and whatever bottom underneath. Instant streetwear look! :>

I’ll be posting more of finds like these throughout the year. I’m all for thrifting! :) WEE! :)

Like a boss party and fashion show, organized by BYB Media, was the first ever legit “blogger” event that I went to. I’m so thankful for BYB Media’s SAMANTHA BELTRAN (yes, all caps ) for being the most accommodating events person I’ve ever met. For events and media companies it’s essential to really establish a good first impression to your guests and clients, and because BYB media did so, I’d be happy to work with them again. Anyway, to add to all the good vibes, it happened during the first saturday of the year! BOOM! What a way to start the year. :>

It was held in LIQUID POOL AND LOUNGE (Manila Ocean Park Complex). The place reminded me of them bars we see on TV. hihi (very adult pool party ang dating, haha)

I loved this walkway. STRUT! haha.

VIP corner y’all.

I went with bloggers Matt Angeles and Vijay Navani. (epic, yet again) and we met three more bloggers.

(will post their blog’s links ASAP)

This was what I wore.

top forever21| skirt, stockings, shoes SM department store| animal print ring Butingtings| cross ring, studded bangle bubbles| black ring, cross necklace love DIVA| bag aldo| domino pendant by Ava Te

*rest of the items are given :) I’ve repeated the pieces a bazillion times but it looked extra “party-ish” altogether when I added the stockings. I’m not into wearing stockings at all, but then I think I’ll reconsider. :>

SO, the vent was not just a party but also a fashion show from brands such as:

Asian Vogue shop Ropa Atletica The Travelling Closet Vittoria Clothing

Here are some of the looks:

galaxy prints are so IN!

well lookie here, BESTFRIEND KATH ONG OH! <3

T’was a long fashion show, actually. I’ll do my best to post more photos of the clothes :) (check my blog again before the week ends.)

NOW FOR THE RANDOM PHOTOS! :)

Kudos to BYB for an awesome event! :) I’m really looking forward to more events from them!

OH, BTW. ISKOLARS and TO COLLEGE STUDENTS IN GENERAL!!! check out BYB’s special planner for you. :>

*Recent Gift: Metallic Satchel from The Bag Finder PH (follow them on twitter)

I’ve been waiting for this baby ever since I found out I won The Bag Finder PH’s contest. T’was worth the wait. There are several looks in my head right now that includes this versatile bag! The fact that it’s gold automatically makes it cool, being a satchel, it also has the nerdy/school girl feel.

THIS IS DEFINITELY A STATEMENT BAG! THANK YOU, THEBAGFINDER PH! :)

*Magazines and Christmas gift from Angela! :D

*New notebooks and pens! :”“>

*additional accessories from lolie! YEY!

I’m not really a fashion blogger, but when I saw the opportunity to attend a fashion blogger’s event in Laureen Uy’s blog, I decided to give it a try. and viola! I won! :)

I brought the ever beautiful and charming Nico with me. (She’s a friend from church and UP.) After school, we went to her house to pass the time, styled each other’s outfit and have some beautification seshs. :))

* I really love her room, BTW. it’s so girly! :)

I really think Nico can be a “beauty blogger” (is that how you call them?) because she really knows her stuff—make-up, tools, lotion, moisturizers and what not.

ANYHOO. we ended up being slightly behind schedule but still arrived “on time” since almost everyone was late. HAHAHA!

at the event! :)

* we ordered pina colada! YUM :>

with the bloggers! gaganda nila, please lang :(

please spot miss patricia prieto! We had alot of goofy shots from her, actually, but she’s still so pretty! HAHA

WIth the editor-at-large, Bianca Gonzales

It was nice to party with new blog friends! :) And, since I want to work in a publishing company such as this, it was great to see people who work in this industry.
